Seems like it's a pretty common problem in Doha. I hear it gets better in the winter when there is more stuff to do / see to keep yourself entertained. If you post a topic to have people meet up for coffee after Ramadan, I'll be game, and I'm sure lots of other new people to the city will be too.

Btw, from your profile I see you're squash fan ... I haven't played since i got here (about 4 mths ago) is there a club / league around that you know off?
