Another option is to go to the Garmin website (www.garmin.com) or follow this link: http://www8.garmin.com/cartography/ontheRoad/
Then click on the drop down box for Mapsource Map Viewer and select City Navigator Middle East v3 from the list. This will launch a popup application with a large scale map of the Middle East. Just double click on the map in the area (Qatar) that you want to view. It will progressively zoom in to Doha. This is the same map that some people have on their GPS. It is pretty accurate and has a lot of useful information.
Areas outside Doha (e.g. Al Khor) are more detailed than those on the gisqatar site.
The great thing with this site is that it has maps from all over the world. It is also a good way to preview what you will get when you buy a map for your Garmin GPS.
