I know what you are saying and I know the "realities" of war all too well.....which is why my views are ignored by most militaries as utopic...and that is why I fear we will blow ourselves up one day.
We are talking about theoretical justification for use of WMD on civilians....and defense of your own soldiers lives is not good enough...eventhough all the countries in WWII DID it without hesitation.
I still think its wrong...and killing enemy soldiers is bad enough (they are fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, brothers and sisters too), but to target civilians is especially henious...we HAVE to draw the line somewhere!
