THAT kind of thinking justifies the development AND use of all manners of WMDs (even chemical and biological and nuclear ones)...after all if you are saving yor own soldiers lives, then it would only be sensible....WAR is horrific enough without THAT kind of reasonning....it is NEVER ok , even in the most industrialized war, to bomb civilians with ANY kind of armament...and you are correct in pointing out both sides did it...shame on us all as humans =(
