If the paint has already faded, then you will need to give it a good polish. If it quite badly deteroriated then you will need to go over it with rubbing compound. But make sure that you seal it off with a good quality wax, otherwise it will begin to fade again.

But if it does spend long hours in the sun make sure paint work is waxed after washing. No mall washinh either.
