Collections and Recoveries Department - National Development Bank PLC (from 2008 June to Date)

“Was able to achieve and maintain the lowest Non Performing Loan Ratio in the local Banking
Industry, consecutively for no of years at 2.52%”

Currently performs duties as a Senior Recoveries Advisor overlooking a Team of 10 to 15 members.

 Overall Management of the Probable Non Performing clientele section of the Bank.
 Allocate targets among team members to achieve the monthly PNPL targets assigned by Head of
Centralized Recoveries & Collections.
 Formulate monthly portfolio reviews on delinquent advances, product wise and escalate identified trends.
 Training and coaching team members on the job, processes, product knowledge, effective
communication and negotiation skills and groom potential members.
 Ensure external and internal customer requests / queries related to advances are responded with minimum delay.
 Submission of monthly MIS for the Senior Management.
 Work around on restructuring of advances, whilst adhering to set guidelines, Bank policies and
Regulations.
 Ensure recoveries processes are documented.
 Follow up on clients through calling, visiting and written follow ups
 Liaise with outsourced companies to follow up on pre assigned recoveries and to review the
Performance of the companies against the targets agreed upon
 Liaise with outsourced legal firms pertaining to cases referred for legal action.
 Manage the unit overhead cost by ensuring the budgets are not exceeded [Overtime / Travelling cost of the team.]

 Comparison of Current T 24 platform against proposed IBU system functions.
 Performed User Acceptance Test (UAT)
 Prepared test scenarios and test scripts for testing.
 Setting the platform for IBU Collections and Recoveries unit
 Testing the recoveries functions through Temonos T24 Islamic Banking system and ensuring all functions are in place.
 Identifying the malfunctions and raising bug reports.
