About
I'm not moving there, but my daughter will be going to Carnegie Mellon's campus for the fall semester. She leaves in 10 days. We lived in Japan as ex-pats for 4 years when she was in elementary/middle school and I know the value of making some contacts with people who've lived in a country for longer.
Given the recent news about the embassy closings, and remembering how in Japan the news from the States always seemed more hyped up then it did to us there, I wanted to reach out, make some contacts and see what people are thinking there.
And try to put my daughter into contact with a few people.
