Baggage acceptance size for New Terminal B at Doha Airport ...
Please to inform that except Qatar Airways , all other airlines are moving to the new terminal-2 (Old arrival ) from June 18, 2011 . To avoid inconvenience, we need to be mindful of some changes that we need to make
in baggage acceptance at the new terminal . Because the baggage belt is narrower and has a height restriction. This will be the same concept used in NDIA , so eventually we have to get used to it anyway.
PK passengers which have a high volume of oversized baggage will have to
make this adjustment .. and quickly !
This means that we will need to make restrictions on the size of baggage
being accepted ( without changing individual baggage allowance of travel
for that designated class) . All shapes of cartons as checked baggage
will
come under this category .
We have accepted different sizes and shapes of baggage over and above what was mandated in our policy. We will now have to make sure that it is in line with not only our own policy but that of the airport that we are
operating.
The acceptable size of acceptance of baggage is given below:
> 55 cm (width)
> 75 cm (height)
> 130 cm (length)
