PEC Girl 'Anab Sundus' Doha Topper in Pakistan Board Exams
Pakistan Education Centre’s (PEC)Anab Sundus has bagged the second highest marks in the GCC countries, in the Secondary School Certificate Examination Part II, scoring 977 marks out of 1050.
The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Islamabad, declared the results yesterday.
PEC and Pak Shama School and College have recorded 100% pass, according to statements issued by the schools.
At PEC, of a total of 147 students who appeared in the examination, 16 got A1 grade, 32 A grade, 48 B grade and all others C grade.
“PEC students bagged the first, second and third positions in the exam among all Pakistani schools in Doha,” the school said.
At PEC, Mohamed Zubair (967 marks) was second and Marwah Mir (955) was third. Abdul Rahman Fayyaz (953), Khadija (931), Mohamed Abubakar (926), Farah Rahat (925), Huma Khalid (919), Mohamed Mubashir Manzor (918), Syeda Mishkaat-ul-noor (900), Bibi Asma (899), Diyana Habib (883), Faryal Farooq (869), Yusra Mateen (868), Mohamed Huzaifah (863) and Iman Javed (842) received A1 grade.
At Pak Shama, Heba Zafar of science group scored 904, followed by Nagina Nawaz (864), Narmeen Imtiaz (797), Haseena Mohamed Ashraf (793), Mahira Naeem (789), Safoorah Saeed (736), Maryam Saeed Butt (673), Misbah Mubeen (665).
Among boys at Pak Shama, Mohamed Ehtisham Iqbal was the topper with 787 marks, followed by Abdul Rehman Sajid (749) and Mirza Fahad Ashraf (631).
PEC principal Prof Humayun Nasir congratulated the students, staff and the parents on the achievement and hoped that they would continue their efforts in bringing more laurels to the institution.
Pakistan ambassador and PEC’s board of governors chairman Mohamed Asghar Afridi, lauded the achievement and assured his whole hearted efforts for the welfare of Pakistani community in general and PEC in particular.
Pak Shama management committee president M A Shahid and principal Nabila Kaukab congratulated the students, teachers and parents for their excellent performance.
