Hello,

Did any one try Alishan Resturant at Qatar it at Muntaza Area behind American Hospital a RIght from C Ring Road before American Hospital...

The Food is Great, Its best Mougali Dishes & Very Unique  in all sense...

& the best Part its not Expensive like 5 Star, But Ambience are Good. But surely not Budget Resturant.

4 Course meal (2 Soup, 1 Started & 2 main & 1 Desert) for 2 can cost you around 120-150 Qr..approximately.

For a change and who wanted Italian pasta, Italian pizza, hhhhmmmm

go to CIAO at Salwa. But the service is so slow, i mean maybe they have only one cook obviously. but the food is excellent. Every person have its own taste, but i could say their pasta and steaks are really good. This restaurant is just beside the Francais Cheaffeur, Marie-Claires

I am not a Shareholder...

Gardern is for normal South Indian & very normal North Indian Items... But if that cost nearly the same if you go to Non-Veg Section to Alishan

you seem to be the shareholder of the restaurant.

I think Garden is much better compared to alishan

Although this resturant Belong to Keralite-Owner, But it will never be Favorate for Keralite,  Its about Mougali Cusine...not Puri & Fish Curry hahahaha

They are the one who wants to Save & eat the same at Home & same in Resturant hahahahahahah

To me 2 Puri + Potato Masala + 1 Fish curry (kerala) is more than sufficient any given day.

keromal said Many People do not know taste How to eat ...

Guys needing Fast food or fast Lunch shouldnt go in place like Alishan.

Secondly people should talk with Captan & ask which Dish to order, will taste & preparation to make there Right Choice... Many people order any thing they sound good & land up with not matching their own taste... Specially its going to happen at Alishan because the Menu is sooo Unique even 80 % of Indian will be confused what to order, It's not a shame to ask the Captan  & take the advise......................hahahahahaaha

I & my Wife went for Lunch It was only 70 Qr bill for 1  by 2 Soup, 1 starter, 1 Main dishes, 4 Rotis, 1 sweet dish. (I think at Maharaja it might coust 45-50 Qr for same, Mind well 1 Main Dishes at Maharaja is not enough for 2)

Now coming to Maharaja, its good, but you know out there of 4 Item you order they make 3 very good But spoil your taste in one..........

Flavour...Interior soo deem...I hate going there... Flavour was very very bad initially but nowaday chef are better.

Alishan should be compare with Bombay Balti in Ramada & Bukhara not with Maharja or Flavours....

Any New restaurant take some time...settle down.........

Still I advise Family & Couple should visit it in week end.............

This is a common message some word are for people who wrote against Alishan

We were at the soft opening of this "Alishan" restaurant...apparently soft is not the right word to describe that opening.  It was very limp and lifeless.  After waiting for more than an hour we were so disgusted that we paid the bill for 3 lousy lassis and we left.  We just dropped the money on the table as we knew the waiting for bill would be another torture.

Few observations made during our one hour ordeal was, all the staff members appeared fascinated with the system that was installed for billing as there was a huge crowd of all staff members, the waitresses looked stressed as nothing was coming out of the kitchen on time, the hostess were smiling but looked scared and the person who finally mustered up courage to check on our order did not returned to update us on the latest status of it.  Finally we had to stop him enroute to, God knows where, and he said 10 minutes more!!! Which of course was another 20 minutes and that is the time we stormed out.

To summarise it was an Alishan mess!!!

i was there as well on the second day of their opening... the staff there seem to think that smiling will solve all problems, they had these two indians ladies smiling and escorting ppl to their tables.

the food wasnt up to mark as far i i ate... the bill took 30 mins to come after i had to wait 45 mins for the food!

i agree that maharaja and there is garden restaurant and flavours as well... which give better indian dishes!!!

Sounds intresting, but still 150 for 2 is a bit expensive.

It's always the small things that make big differences.
