Visit Qatar launches TV Channel to further elevate tourism in the country
Visit Qatar and Es’hailSat, the Qatar Satellite Company, signed an agreement on Wednesday to launch a dedicated Visit Qatar television channel.
Visit Qatar CEO Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi and Es’hailSat CEO Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari formalised the agreement during a signing ceremony on Wednesday.
The dedicated Visit Qatar channel can be viewed on the Es’hail-2 satellite, broadcasted at the 26⁰ East hotspot, which has a huge number of viewers due to its coverage of the entire Middle East and North Africa region.
The channel will showcase Qatar as one of the world’s leading travel destinations. Hotels throughout Qatar will feature the channel on their TV in all guest rooms, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the country’s tourism offerings and stay updated about ongoing events.
Al Mawlawi, commenting on Visit Qatar’s partnership with Es’hailSat and the launch of Visit Qatar TV channel, said: “Qatar is an exciting global travel destination and has been receiving millions of visitors annually from across the globe over the past few years. This partnership with Es’hailSat for a dedicated tourism TV channel will showcase the diversity of the country’s tourism offering and promote its robust calendar of events.”
