WORKING VISA EXIT DURING PANDEMIC

Hi QLers!

Question regarding exit with only having 'working visa'.

I resigned to my work last February due to 'they will not provide QID for me'. They just provided me working visa.

I have booked my ticket going back to Philippines for final exit. For good. My ticket is booked for April 2020 when my working visa is not yet expired. But due to the pandemic my airline cancelled flights a lot of times til my working visa is expired.

Now my flight is booked finally this August, I have expired visa and no QID. Will I have penalty for this? Our HR mandoob is telling me I have to oay for the penalties.

is it correct or can I file something to aboid the penalties?

Company must be held liable for not providing you a QID if this is a part of your agreement.

You may not be able to avoid the penalty. Ask your mandoob to calculate the penalty till the last day of you stay om Doha. If the amount is not much and you can manage to pay, suggest you pay and leave. I do not believe you can seek the help of National Human Rights Committee as they need a QID to register a petition. However, you can give it a try by visiting their office.
