238 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Qatar, total reaches 262
238 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been recorded in Qatar according to the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH).
With these new cases, the total number of coronavirus patients in Qatar jumped to 262.
All the new cases are expatriates who had previously interacted with the three cases that were declared infected with the virus last Sunday.
MoPH stated that the new cases that were registered were those who were subject to quarantine as a precautionary measure after the discovery of the previous three infected cases.

MoPH stated that the number of people infected with the virus is likely to increase among contacts of previously announced patients, who are subject to quarantine, calling on community members not to worry, as all confirmed cases are in very good health condition and are receiving medical care at the Communicable Disease Center.
Furthermore, the Ministry has advised the public to avoid large public gatherings as well as put on hold any unnecessary travel plans.
