Hello everyone,I have a question about recieveing mail from local post office.I am waiting an important mail from US and it will arrive 2-4 weeks through standard post as per the sender.My concern is:

I have no P.O box on that address that I gave to the sender.Just my name and curent address in Qatar.

and the sender did not provide a tracking number for the mail.(I don't have personal contact on the sender so I cannot ask for the tracking number.}

So, my question is; Can I still recieve my mail without tracking number and PO box?and How?

Please if anyone have an idea about this issue please help me.I will appreciate your help and thank you in advance.

In this case, I suggest you go over personally to the QPost main office at Conrniche and talk to them about the parcel. You may need to leave all the details of the parcel such as name of sender, your name and contact details including your mobile number with them. They may contact you then once the parcel arrives in Doha.

Having said that, it is somewhat unusual for someone to dispatch a parcel by post without the recipient's complete address.

@acchabaccha Thank you for your advice! But how about if the sender did not put my mobile number on the address section? Can I just go direct to the post office?

Yes, you can. You must give your local mobile phone number to the sender if you have not done so yet and he must state this on the address section of the recipient. Once the mail arrives in Doha, QPost will send you a message on your mobile. You will then need to go over to QPost main office located at Corniche and collect the parcel yourself. They may charge you a fee of QR 15.
