1. Spelling mistakes and grammatical errors

2. Too much information on your resume

3. Writing a long cover letter

8. Not following up

You can follow up at least a week after the interview. Following up gives another chance to make an impression on the employers. You can follow-up by writing a thank you email or via a phone call.
