Credit Card 0% Installement Purchase Cancellation

Hi, Please any credit card experienced person's advice needed,
I got a credit card from commercial bank recently and activated it yesterday night, and purchased an iphone xs max which is worth (4600 QAR) from Jareer, since my credit limit is 4000 QAR, i paid the 600 by hand and asked to them to put 4000 in 12 month installement,

Before purchasing it, I asked the Jareer sales guy, if i changed the mind and want to cancel credit card payment and pay whole amount in cash, he said it is possible,
I want to to cancel this credit card payment today and pay 4000 and clear my bill, when I approach Jareer, they are telling a new stroy now that I must go to bank,
and when I go to bank and say I did it since Jareer said it possible to cancel at anytime, bank told me their sales guys not well aware about credit card payment etc..,and bank says it is not possible to do so,

I am really feeling bad and afraid about falling in interest schemes of bank, even if i have an option to pay all installement in one shot to bank, that would be good , so I can do it, but now bank says it is not possible,,

For a bank a you are good custoemr only if u delay your payments. Because they get intrest amount on that. Late paymemt charges. Now paying on time doesnt yeild them anything.

who trusts the sales guys. they say yes to anything. i bought a tab. sales guy said i can find a case anywhere, villagio any local mobile shop. i went everywhere, lulu, victoria secret, i still didnt find a case

"Remember If you pay your dues on or before time you are a Bad customer to a bank.", if i pay and clear all my dues in one pay, they will mark me as bad customer (like blacklist),

I wonder why is that, if I want to pay, that is good for bank right, it should be other way, when a customer not pay, he should be regarded as bad customer

that great. a sigh of relief for you. trust me the call center or the staff wont even know brief details about it. no need to wait for it you can pay the amount right away. better for you to wait and go as per their rules. Regarding cancellation of card i prefer not to cancel it just clear the dues. and keep it aside. you might needs it anytime in future. For overspending stress and tension you can contact the same number i gave you and tell them to reduce you credit limit. that would be great. Right now dont discuss anything regarding cancellation with them. Just clear your dues. Thats all.

Remember If you pay your dues on or before time you are a Bad customer to a bank.

@buttawaris, thank you so much, you are correct, I just contacted customer care no and they said me it is possible, ask me to request a installment cancellation first for the pending installments and then after 2 or 3 days, I can settle whole amount in one pay, they dwell on the installment cancellation first instead of deposit to credit card directly,

Regarding the cancellation of the card, can you please tell me the option, is it must for me to renew second year? I was thinking that I can cancel anytime with a period given for the bank for clearance of a any existing dues

one more thing dear, if you login to internet banking from Laptop or Desktop. scroll down to credit card section and there you can see PAY NOW, click on pay now and then select you debit account (SAVINGS or CURRENT) whatever you have. then checkmark on pay all my due. it will pre select all you pending balance and then ok. Khalaas. Payment Done.

don't worry about that brother. I have cleared more than 2-3 installments with 1-2 months from LULU, JOYALUKASS. You can pre pay and settle the installments anytime.

I understand your concern. I am also using commercial bank credit card. and I personally think that its the best among all others. The yearly fee depends on your usage if your usage is more they will not charge you the fee, for me I have never been charged the yearly fee. And regarding the hidden fees and interest there is nothing like that. only a small amount might be charged every month like 5-8 QAR, thats knows as CREDIT SHEILD CHARGE. Rest everything is alright. And if you are going to bank to meet them don't talk about cancellation. just tell them you want to settle down the hoel amount. If you ask my opinion no need to go to bank. you can clear it yourself as I told you the procedure. Best of Luck.

and just reading their terms and condition page commercial bank site, they have mention that they can cancel a zero percent installment plan at anytime and add the interest,

their terms and condition page also terrible for me, I am only afraid about getting interest, other than I have full confident that I have enough money to settle the installments as planned

Why I want to cancel is, I am afraid about any hidden charge or any hidden interest they might add, because now only I see there are many bad reviews about commercial bank credit card in qatarliving posts by other users,

so bit nervous, and their annual renewal payment is not affordable for me if I not use it, first year free, and second year they will charge 650 qar

yes I am sure you can do this. I have done it myself many a times. you can settle your full payment in one shot easily. But regarding cancellation of card I don't think you can cancel your card. and why do you want to cancel it, clear the payment and keep it, you might need it in near future.

@buttawaris, thanks a lot for your suggestion, are you sure i can do this ? if so I will pay today the 4000 and also ask them to cancel my card,

but the girl called me from commercial bank short while ago told me, I cannot do this, and I must pay for 12 months, may be she is not aware, what is your opinion

There is nothing to worry about. Its very simple. Jarir has no part in the scene now to clear your installment. You only need to pay 4000 QAR to your Credit Card simply by internet banking or deposit directly to your credit card through nay Commercial Bank ATM. Once you make the payment call commercial bank helpline on 44490000 and tell them that ou want to settle your payment. But this part is vey important. Calling them and telling them to settle your balance. If you don't they will not settle it and the 4000 QAR would be kept as your extra credit limit. Relax chill and finish your settlement. There is nothing to worry.
