I have been working in a company for the last 4 1/2 yrs I am planning to resign & go back to my home country. My RP is going to expiry on 17/06/2019 & I am planning to exit on 27/6/19. What is the grace period is it 7 days bcoz of resignation.
.. if you ask company people they will always say 7 days..so that the headache goes out of the country in 1 weeks time...
But as I said before...there was my friend who exited by 1 month without issues. Also the 7 days rule cannot be practical for a person who need to exit who has been in qatar for several years, as he may have cars to sell, house to vacate , children in school and commitment with banks...
From the last information I have, you need to exit Qatar within 7 days from the date of cancellation of your visa. If there has been a change in this rule, I am not aware of that yet. In your case, I suggest you ask your HR people as your visa will have expired before your departure date. Alternatively, if you do not wish to talk to your HR people, you can approach National Human Rights Committee and they will guide you best.
