A night to remember with the king of melodious and soulful music: Arijit Singh
Bollywood's playback singer Arijit Singh performed in front of a packed house at the Lusail Sports Arena, Doha on Friday, 18th January - and it was indeed a magical night!
The concert was hosted by OneFM Radio, in association with Shop Qatar.
He began the melodious night with ‘Ae Dil Hain Mushkil’ followed by 'Hawayein' and then moved right into hit after hits!
His mellifluous voice had the audience dancing, with every song ending in cheers.
One of the biggest hits in the concert was the song ‘Ilahi’ from the film ‘Yeh Jaawani Hain Deewani’ and Arijit Singh had his fans dancing and singing along in chorus on this!
Not only did Arijit Singh perform for almost three hours straight, he also played piano and guitar. He wasn’t just casually playing them, he was doing elaborate duets and set-pieces with his guest musicians while singing at the same time. Amazing right?
He gave a lot of opportunities for the audience to sing along with him several times. He made sure that only the voice of the audience can be heard across the venue! To sing along with your favorite musician along with thousands of other fellow fans is certainly a treasured experience.
Arijit Singh’s concert was all about celebrating the best of Bollywood from the last couple of decades. He sang old classics and 90's hits like ‘Chayya Chayya’ and ‘Dil Se’ along with hits in the early 00's like ‘Woh Lamhe’ and ‘Tu Hi Meri Shab hain’ and others. The audience reacted to it marvelously!
He ended the night on a very special note with two of his super hits, starting with ‘Kabira’, then it just merged into ‘Channa Mereya’.
The night was unbelievably special for all those who were there to see this musical talent live in Doha for the first time. The crowds did prove that they were way too happy with their star performer!
