Taking Road Test in Different Center?

Hello all

I want to know if I can take my road test in a different driving school and what is the procedure?

A little backstory to what why I want to do this-

I recently passed my theory (signal) test and L&P Parking tests at Dalla Driving Academy. I registered for the Road Test and they gave me my test date as 11 November. That's almost 4 whole months away and I definitely can not wait that. I passed signal and l&p parking tests on my first try and have not taken a road test yet so this will be my first. These guys at Dalla are just trying to make as much money as possible from the students and registering more and more people even when they can not accomadate so many students. They took 1 month to issue my learning license and the reason for the delay was their laziness because my file was sitting on their desk for a whole month and they wasted my time everyday telling me that the traffic department was taking time and kept telling me to come next week. I finally got fed up and told them I want a refund and will join a different driving school and then they sent me to the filing department and asked me to fetch my file for them. Very poor customer service, they are asking the customer to bring the file for them so they can sit and talk to each other and not pay attention to the customers.

At the time of admission I specifically asked them if it would take a long time to get a license, they lied to me and told me that I can get it in less than a month if I pass all tests. They made me believe I would get the test dates quickly. If I knew I would it would take this much time, I would have gone to a different driving school. In some people's case they issued learning card for them after 3 months (which takes only 2 days).

I can no longer face this torture and I want to know if I can take my road test in a different driving school and what is the procedure?

I advise anyone who wants to get a license in Qatar, stay away from Dalla Driving Academy. They are the worst here in Qatar without a doubt. They will waste your time, the staff will be extremely rude to you- first they will act like they can't hear what you are saying and try to ignore you then they will simply lie to you and if you try to refute them they will act like they know what they are doing and that we the customers are stupid and wasting their time. I saw them behaving like that to many customers and they did the same with me. They will try to waste your time so you fail your tests due to lack of continous practice and in return they can make more and more money. They have free transport that I took 2-3 times then I noticed the driver pops some neswar into his mouth everytime before starting to drive and then drives very rash and I prefer my safety over saving a few riyals for free transport.

Do yourselves a favour and go anywhere else but this place.

I guess you can. I am saying this as several years back a friend had a problem at the driving school he was attending and he managed to switch to another school and finally was able to get a driving license. Unfortunately, that friend of mine is no longer in Qatar and as such I am unable to find out the way he went about making the switch over. Suggest, you contact some driving schools and ask them.
