Do NOT use PackMe Qatar/Ultraline for shipping and moving!
After five years in Doha, I am moving and bringing my things back to Canada. I paid the company 15 000 QR, and received only a partial receipt even after multiple requests. After waiting two months and requesting updates that assured me everything was paid and in transit, I find out my shipment had landed in Canada three weeks prior and I was paying 65 USD per day because PackMe Qatar/Ultraline failed to pay ANY of my shipping fees. I am now stuck with my original bill which I have to pay again, as well as late fees from the port in Canada. My shipment is also two months late arriving. They repeatedly gave my assurances that my bill had been paid, but refused to provide a copy of the receipt transaction, siting that it was confidential. I have reported this company to MOI.

This issue of cargo shipping companies ripping off customers who have used their services and left Qatar for good has come up several times at Qatar Living in the past. It appears that this game is just not restricted to a single company as the same issue has been faced by different people from different cargo shipping companies. Possibly, such companies make use of the opportunity to make some extra money albeit through unhealthy practices as they know well the customer is leaving Qatar for good and he hardly has any powers or controls left in his hands to cause damage to the company once he has gone. Possibly, they may also be aware that no action will get taken against them. At the end, it is just the shipper who suffers and uses websites such as Qatar Living to vent out his frustrations and disappointment.
Since you have already reported the matter to the authorities, hopefully some action may get initiated against this company which would become an eye-opener to other unscrupulous cargo shipping agents in Qatar. Suggest you lodge a complain also at Consumer Protection. You may be able to get some information on this from the following link:
