Passport Rule

Hi,

My family is travelling to India this June 2018 and will return by early September 2018. Their passports are expiring in Jan 2019.

I wanted to know whether we can renew passport here in Doha once they return provided the RPs are there till 2020.

Or it is better to renew before travelling from here or renew in India before entering Qatar to avoid 6 month rule. Please advice.

Why not. When they return in September, only four months of validity will be left. Anyway, I will call and get advice from embassy as well. Thanks all for the responses.

I believe you could renew here after they return. The 6-month validity of passport rule does not apply in your situation. Suggest you call the Embassy and confirm.
