Family visa status shown as visitor visa

Dear Friends,

I have applied for my wife's residence visa at Garaffa's Immigration office last week. (She is already in Qatar under visitor visa)

I checked the visa status through the MOI online portral. When checking online I entered the reference number and then selected visa type as residence visa. then the result showed as 'invalid visa type.

But, with the same reference number if I selected the visa type as 'visitor visa', the status shows as 'under process'.

I'm confused because I applied for family residence visa, not visitor visa.

Anyone have an idea about whats going on ?

No issues. The Visa which you will get shall be visit Visa. Once Medical and Finger print process is done. it shall be transferred to Residence.
