Not giving my rent advance! What to do
Dear friends pls help me,
My house owner is not giving the advance money 1000QR which i have given and i am not stay there even for 1 day.
I paid the advance money on july 31,2017. Because of some personal issues, i cant stay there. So, i went to the house owner and asked for the advance money on the next day aug 1,2017. He said that he had submitted the documents to the company and he told me to wait for one week for the money. After one week , i go and ask for the money but he rufused to give and asked me to come after one week again. And this process is repeated continuously still now date. Still now he dont give that money and 3 months have gone. I only have the receipt of the advance money 1000QR with me. What i do now?? Friends pls help me and give me solution to this problem!!!!
That proof should be enough to convince them. Give it a try. There is no harm. It is your hard-earned money after all. Even if they just call them, it will send a clear message to the estate agent that you are making things tough for him. You may also report the matter to the police Head Quarters located near Crazy signal. They have department known as "tafteesh" there. Possibly, they help may you by just calling the estate agent. If they do, it may give the estate agent a bit of a shake which may result in him returning your cash.
I only have the receipt of advance money 1000QR and i dont have anything else. If it is possible for the committee to help me.

No, I don't. I just know the office as I used to pass by it almost daily some years back. Suggest you visit the office, preferably with someone who speaks Arabic.

There is a government organization situated near to Holiday Villa at Rawdat Al Khail Street and the name is "Rental Disputes Settlement Committee". Possibly, they may be able to help you if you approach them.
