I was hired and now working here in at one of the many restaurant here in Qatar.  I applied for the position of a delivery rider but the visa they gave me is for assistant cook. I have no choice but to accept it. But still my job for this restaurant is a delivery rider. Is it okey even if they gave me assistant cook visa instead of a delivery rider visa?  Someone help me please.  And one thing more...  I didn't sign any contract for this company. I ask about it and they told me they will give sooner.  Does it legal to work without formal employment contract? AND I have a big concern also for my co workers. Theyve working for more than a month but still they doesn't have any contract and health card. And also the salary is too delayed.  Some of my do workers had one month salary balance still not yet paid and some other had salary pending for more than five months. I was worried with my salary too.  I am working with them more than a month without any contract signing , without uniform, health card etc. Only the visa I had for them. Somebody help me please I really want to change my employer. I really want to work legally here in Qatar. Please... Please...  Please.  Help me.  Sorry for my bad english

Delubyo17: Since you are new to Qatar, you are possibly not familiar with the Labour Laws of the country. The employer must give you a written contract which has three copies all of which get signed by you and the employer. The three copies are then registered at the Labour office which puts it's stamp and keeps one copy. A second copy is kept by the the employer and the third copy is for you. All costs towards getting the contract registered with the Labour Office is to be borne by the employer and it is his responsibility to get this done.. Without a contract approved by the Labour office, you may not be able to make any claims on your salary or End of Service benefits from the employer whenever you decide to leave the company. You must insist on getting a copy of the approved contract. As for the difference in profession in your visa from that of your nature of work, this is not an issue at all. Many expat worker's nature of job and the profession shown in the visa do not match. With regards to non-payment of salaries on time, suggest you be a bit patient and see how things work out in your company. It is definitely not correct on the part of the employer not to pay salaries on time. Possibly, the management of your company may do something about it.

As for your quality of English in your post, you should not be ashamed. There are many native English speakers of the English language who are unable to write even four lines in correct English. You have still managed to express your concerns in several lines. Bravo!
