Tragedy and grief struck the Indian community in Qatar when Shifad Sulaiman, a young man who used to work in the Hamad Hospital at Al Wakra, lost his life following a bike accident.

The 25-year-old, who hails from the Trichur in the South Indian state of Kerala, was a bike enthusiast. The former Ideal Indian School student was riding his bike in Al Khor when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed, reported Qatar Tribune.

Shifad will be buried in Doha after necessary formalities are completed. He is survived by his father Sulaiman, mother Safia and brother Shefin, a student at the College of North Atlantic.

Our sincere condolences to the bereaved family.
