Rules for working wife under husband sponsorship

Hi all,

I have been in Qatar for ~7months and my wife has been in Qatar for 5 months now. Recently my wife was offered a job. The company has no issues with my wife continue on my sponsorship. The mentioned that they will issue a work permit for her.

She was also asked to submit the following documents for the job:

1. P.C.C.

2. No objection certificate (from husband for allowing to work)

3. Education certificates.

I have a query about the issuance of the work permit and her exit rules.

1. My wife has been asked to undergo fingerprint for the issuance of the work permit. Is this the normal process? Will a new QID be issued after the work permit is released?

2. After the issuance of the work permit. If there is any urgent need to leave the country. Will she be required to take a proper leave approval from the company or she can leave without it (as she is on my sponsorship)?

Please also share if there is any link/page where I can get details for a family working under husband sponsorship.

Thanks in advance

@rg2404 - she will get a new work permit ID not a new QID. and YES, she can leave anytime at her will with no exit permit required.

Thank you for the reply Malik.

Just to confirm, will a new QID will be issued after the work permit?

Can you answer one more question. Is she allowed to leave country at her will...as she is on my sponsorship. Or she has to take permission every time she has to leave the country.(I.e. by applying for exit permit).

Hello Good evening. I hope someone can assist me.

My husband was working here in Doha in 2016. He came back last April 2017 but family visit visa. I would like to ask if he needs to get NOC from previous employer or is it only me who will provide him NOC once he found new job? His previous company doesn't want to give him NOC. What can be tge possibility to transfer his visa to work? Thank u!
