I was born and raised in Qatar and I can tell you there are so many things that only people who were raised here would remember. It's so fun reminiscing over the days we spent here as kids.

1. "The mall" was literally the only mall that existed in Qatar.

2. Ramada was "the pearl" of Qatar.

3. When taxis were orange.

6. Sheraton was the only part of the Doha skyline. Did we even know what a skyline was?

7. You can't forget Palm Tree Island!

8. School trips were to the zoo.

9. Snacks were basically Oman chips, Pafki chips and the Frutti orange juice.

10. Hanging out at Al Bandar every week.

11. You must remember how the old Qatari money looked like.

Brit...those times when you were 'hypnotised' there....and later found out your wallet/money/key missing when you came out of trance.

Now in these days it's spit, grab and run...though not necessarily in that order.
