Fahad Al Kubaisi to take center stage at Shop Qatar’s opening ceremony

Qatar’s singing phenomenon, Fahad Al Kubaisi is all set to mesmerize the audience with his dynamic voice at the opening ceremony of Qatar’s first-ever shopping festival, Shop Qatar, in Doha.

The opening ceremony will take place on January 7, 2017 at 8pm at the newly opened Mall of Qatar’s Oasis stage and Fahad will be one of the main highlights of the occasion enthralling his audience with renditions of his most popular songs.

The 35-year-old Fahad released his first album, Jamel Errouh, in 2001 which gained instant success. He quickly became an established vocalist in the Middle East with a big fan following and went on to release more albums: Rouhi in 2005, Lich in 2006, Aseila in 2008 and Sahh Enoum in 2010.

Fahad even has a music soundtrack to his credit; he lent his voice to the opening track of ‘Black Gold’ which he recorded with the legendary film-music producer, James Horner, and also recorded a Bedouin song with a very talented Qatari composer, Abdullah Al Mannai.

Fahad’s performance at the opening ceremony will be the first of many exciting entertainment choices that visitors to the Mall of Qatar will enjoy during the festivities of Shop Qatar.

Shop Qatar is the brainchild of the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and will go on from January 7, 2017 up until February 7, 2017 under the slogan ‘A Brand New Tradition’.

QTA’s goal is to draw a huge number of locals, expats and tourists to visit the shopping festival which will include discounts, promotions, big prizes along with lots of activities, shows and entertainment for the entire family.
