The full moon on November 14 is a rare scientific phenomenon, which is happening after a gap of 68 years. From Monday night until early Tuesday morning, people will be able to watch the unusually radiant lunar spectacle — Supermoon.
A Supermoon comes about when the moon is full and at its closest orbital point to Earth, called perigee. On Monday night, it will be the closest it has ever been to earth since January, 1948. The phenomenon is expected to happen next in 2034, a full 18 years away.
