Three government employees on trial for stealing QR30m

Three public employees are standing trial for stealing QR30m from an oil company, reported GDNOnline.

Financial auditors, who were going through the company’s accounts, found out that the three former employees had been embezzling funds belonging to the company.

The defendants — two of whom were employed as accountants and the other in an administrative position — who stole money and documents, will now stand trial in a criminal court.

If proven guilty, the three former employees face long terms in jail.
