Al Meera to open five more outlets in Qatar

Al Meera Consumer Goods Company is set to launch five new shopping centers soon, the firm announced on Sunday.

Qatar-based Al Meera has scheduled to start the openings with a 4,239 square metre branch in Bu Sidra, according to The Peninsula and Gulf Times.

Al Meera currently has 41 branches in Qatar and will add many more outlets by the end of the year.

Al Meera will also open a 4,000 square metre branch in North Sailiya, a 2,667 square metre outlet in Al Wakra as well as 4,014 and 5,093 square metre branches in Um Salal Ali and Leaibab 2 respectively.

"At Al Meera, we are truly excited to be introducing our seamless shopping experience and make a difference in the daily lives of consumers in new territories with lacklustre shopping services," said Dr Mohammed Al Qahtani, deputy CEO of Al Meera.

The stores are expected to provide citizens and residents in five key suburbs that are witnessing a population boom with some shopping convenience.

According to Al Meera's website, they already opened new branches last year in Muraikh, Azizia, Muaither, Thakhira, Jeryan Njeima, Al Wakra 2, Al Wajba, Al Thumama, Rawdat Ekdeem as well as a branch at a rented property in the Gulf Mall.
