Location is everything on a house hunt!
Qatar is a hub of growing businesses that will only increase in fervor in the coming years. With all the flurry of activities and job opportunities, more people are getting hired to fulfill the growing market requirements. The first thing expats do upon coming to Qatar is finding the most appropriate home for themselves and their family. This is done keeping in mind the school and office distances, choosing the right location matters a lot.
Several friends of mine are living in nice villas a bit further from their workplace and find the commute difficult back and forth every day. One friend in particular lives at the ideal house in a sweet compound, but her son’s school falls too far away from there to comfortably manage it over a longer period of time. She is on the hunt for a similar villa, which is nearer to her son’s school and academy.
The distance challenge always brings the foremost factor to light in house hunting. Always choose the shortest route distances between offices, schools and your home. You don’t want to spend a long day at office and be stuck in traffic while coming and going back both in the mornings and afternoons/evenings.
Map down your preferred routes and make these your preferences to find houses. As ideal as a house looks but is at the outskirts of the city, don’t go for it unless you have no other option left. I know the struggle, I’ve been there! Contact the renters or sellers directly as advertised on online portals. If the sellers are from a real estate agency, tell them your precise preferences and they will help you with the search. They will give you more options within your preferred areas.
With more than 6,0000 listing at this properties page, you can narrow down your options to your preferred areas, and still have a long list of properties to shortlist and decide from.
What is a SWEET compound ??? Is it staffed by gnomes?
Al Wakrah is the best with decent people ......... less traffic , own beach ..........
We all want the best location , but reality in Qatar is somewhat different.
Due to the high rental costs , most have to make a compromise.
