Increase in passenger footfalls at Hamad International Airport
The movement of passengers, arrivals and departures, at Hamad International Airport (HIA) increased in June this year, compared with the same month last year, according to latest figures from the MDPS.
Arrivals at the Hamad International Airport increased 13.3% to 1,334,911, whereas departures witnessed an increase of 18.6% to 1,419,094 in June, 2016.
The movement of aircraft also increased year-on-year in June this year. The number of aircraft arriving at the HIA increased 15.97% from 8,396 in June 2015 to 9,736 in June 2016.
The number of aircraft departing the airport increased 16.05% to 9,737 in June this year, compared with 8,390 in the same month of last year.
