Man arrested for practicing law with no qualifications or licence

Kevin Harper, a 66-year-old British man, has been arrested for illegally practicing law in Pattaya. Police arrested the man in his office at the British Law Co., Ltd., while Harper himself was illegally counseling a foreign client.
In addition to being charged with working in a restricted profession that prohibits foreigners, Harper was cited for operating an unregistered law office and for misleading the public. If found guilty, he could be sent to prison.
The evidence was centered around a YouTube video in which Harper promoted his legal services to the public. When the suspect was questioned, he acknowledged that he was, indeed, the person in the promotional video.
This reminded me of a case in Saudi , when we our company asked us all to submit our qualification certificates.. We discovered that we had two colleagues , who called themselves “Dr” (PHd), but did not have any such qualifications :O(
So.. Have you come across any similar scammers ?

"collage"? You mean 'college', don't you?
Dear all,
As per the latest rules of attestation, the applicant has to submit his original degree, consolidated mark-sheet (transcript) & bonafide letter from the University or collage.
One of my friends in Germany had three (!) PHd's in various engineering fields. However, when he had a problem with his car he always came to me for advice. Papers are just papers.
Brit: Yes, I have several times. While in S Arabia, I heard about a "doctor" in the city where I lived who needed to consult his books before he wrote out any prescription for his patient! He did not last long at the hospital he was working at. I came across several "qualified" engineers at who could not even write a sentence correctly. They became "engineers" through experience at their jobs. I came across a young man from Sri Lanka who proudly and repeatedly announced in the company that he was "born and brought up in the UK" (his favourite sentence) and claims to hold an MBA from that country. This persons English is simply pathetic. He is much respected in his company because the company is managed by Tamils of India and they love to employ mostly Tamil-speakers. However, it must be said that with the recent introduction of rules by several governments for all educational certificates to be attested by relevant authorities before getting employed, the practice of presenting fake educational certificates is almost dying out. Scammers are getting to realize fast they cannot go beyond a certain line.
