Is The Village Restaurant worth visiting
Today i had the very bad experience at The Village Salwa Road restaurant. They refused to accept their own coupon of QR 50 from DG Sharaf saying it is valid for only Village at Souq Waif. When i said to the manager Mr Ahmad that on my last visit i had presented the same coupon he refused to believe me. It means as if, I, as a customer lying to him. I am a regular customer at The village but from now on will never visit at least with the family. I requested even if it is not valid at Salwa Road restaurant but it belongs to Village restaurant still they refused. At last i paid for full and on my behalf i presented the same coupon to their staff so that at least they can enjoy. Worst restaurant will never visit and tell my all friends to be aware of this eatery. It was a very humiliating experience especially when you are with a lady. In past it has been my favorite restaurant but after today's incident I doubt. Was it worth it to shake off the confidence of your regular customers.
Vikas, if the coupon says it is valid at village souq waif, then, dont you think you are at fault. These coupons are promotional. If village allowed you to use it the last time, just be happy and thankful, you saved Qr.50.00 might be a new staff or did not know.

When I write, I write sense. I don't write a one or two-line comment with one following the other. I don't sit in front of the laptop the whole day ready to be the first one to post a comment no matter how silly it may sound. I am sane person with a proper approach to each subject or post. There are many I don't comment on. I don't write just for the sake of writing, gaining attention, getting likes or collecting points.
But , When times comes all three will be pushing each other for posting comments with different hues & colours .......... ...... as if we don't know ? ...........

MM you could have allowed Vikas to 'Like' your comment rather then you doing it urself.....:)
We have a solution for it, Let Vikas wear dark goggles , and if that kind situation arises ........ Vikas may decide to leave in a quick fashion & never return again for the next 6 months or so ......... There is a chance that Ahmed could transfer to another branch ........... I wish good luck to Vikas ........ for the near term .......................
As per MM's "advice," keep calling The Village Restaurant say every two days to check if Ahmed was still around and when he was scheduled to go on leave. Visit the restaurant during his absence to enjoy the meal. However, if Ahmed changes his plans just before he was about to leave for vacation at the 11th hour or returns from vacation a bit earlier than schedule, you are once again in for some "bad" experience which you had tried to avoid following MM's "philosophy!" )-0
Vikas, Your issue is with the manager, not the food & the facilities. So better wait till Mr Ahmed goes on leave you may start visiting the place again ....... with your companions .............
True - Bad customerr experience. Whilst I sympathise, would it not have been better to ask first ?
