Qatar’s Mutaz, Musaab, Abdalelah for IAAF Indoor Worlds

Qatari high jumper Mutaz Essa Barshim, 400M runner Abdalelah Haroun and 800M specialist Musaab Abdulrahman will lead Qatar’s challenge at the IAAF World Indoor Championships, beginning in Portland, the USA, today.

Mutaz, who easily won the Asian indoor title in Doha last month, is considered to be a frontrunner for the title. Musaab (also gold medallist in Doha) and Abdalelah are also in great form and have the potential to land medals for Qatar.

The three athletes, who have been picking and choosing their meets carefully owing to it being an Olympic year, will try hard to win a medal.
