Zootropolis is a must-watch comedy for children and adults alike!
What is it exactly that makes Disney’s movies so memorable and watch-worthy? Sure, they make use of exciting plotlines, top-notch graphics and mega voice actors behind every character.
But beyond all that, it is Disney’s love to tell stories the old fashioned way that makes them tick.
From the creators of ‘Frozen’ comes another classic, and it deals with a modern mammal metropolis named ‘Zootropolis,’ a city unlike any other.
Living together in glitzy neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it’s a place where ‘any animal can be anything they want to be.’
When rookie bunny police officer Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) takes charge, she finds out that being a rabbit in the tough-as-nails police force is no laughing matter.
Determined to prove her worth, she partners up with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman), to solve a case.
The movie becomes even more exceptional when it explores many serious, recurring themes around us — like being judged by the colour of one’s skin — in a simple, fun and effective manner.
It never takes the preachy path, but carries viewers along with it. Though it deals with heavy themes, it never once drags or becomes boring.
It is jam packed with laughs and the sequence with the sloths is likely to be among the best comic moments of the year.
VERDICT: For the first time, 10 stars out of ten. Watch this with your family and they will love you for the experience.
