I saw what looked like a rowing 8 at the Pearl on Friday, I couldn't see whether it was fixed seat or sliding seat. Does anyone know what it was & where it is based? Is there anyone who rows (sliding seat) in Doha
Hi, went to look at the boats, there are a few single and possibly a pair. They are racing fine type and with them being so narrow and a mix of wind and 'chop' and my lack of competency I think I would swim more than row. I am looking for something I can take out on open water, my search continues (I will report progress)
There is a trailer full of rowing boats (proper sliding seat ones) at the Ritz Carlton marina. Not sure who's they are but they are very rarely used. Occasionally see someone out in a single scull.

They are just parked up near the marina office. I am sure the guys Manning the office will know whose they are.
