Expired QID and 5 yr visa
I would like to ask if what is the procedure and how long it will take to renew an expired QID and 5yr work visa? My company told me that it will take time to renew my QID because I already stayed here for 5 yrs. Any problem on the renewal of my qid? what is the exact process? PRO told me that he already applied and it is still under approval of ministry.
It takes only one day from the day he applied for visa extension and the same day he can renew your QID
But working even after visa expiry is illegal right? then how can one wait months for the visa to be renewed. why does govt show such delay?
The fact is that there is no fixed timeframe .. It can take a week to months. This is government . Leave it to the PRO and let him chase up

@minuja: since when did the pro apply on your friend's qid renewal? Ive been waiting for weeks.
Same issue with someone i know. How long does this usually take for renewal. Also there is a new icon in MoI site for tracking the renewal process of QID. While checking the ID number, there is no update as per that. The PRO says, it is awaiting approval from ministry.
Your PRO is an expert in such matters. so, why are you reluctant to believe him
