Holy Quran Journey Exhibition displays over 60 collectible items at Ezdan Mall
The 'Holy Quran Journey' exhibition is providing a significant opportunity for the public to learn about the Holy Quran journey throughout the past ages.
The exhibition opened on November 1, under the patronage of the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage , Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kuwari, and Chairman of Ezdan Holding Group, Khalid bin Thani Al Thani.
It will continue until December 31 on the ground floor of Ezdan Mall on an estimated area of 300 sqm.
The exposition showcases private collectible items of Ibrahim Fakhro, which include more than 60 copies of the Holy Quran and important rare holdings.
Starting from the next era of that of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, it tells the journey of the Quran through the rest of the Islamic eras.
Along with the rare items available at the exhibition, electronic screens are placed in different places displaying detailed explanation and information about each era of time in Arabic and English as well as tables on which items are presented with the corresponding titles, highlighting their importance, and history.
"My objective throughout my series of exhibitions is to display these exceptional and scarce pieces that make up valuable information which cannot be available anywhere," Ibrahim Fakhro said.
"These pieces are the result of a personal great research efforts in order to reach each one of them, as there is a story and journey for each piece."
"I hope that this exhibition will be visited by school students to be able to learn about the information provided and benefit from it."
All persons interested are invited to visit the exhibition to learn more about the history of this holy book.
It is worth mentioning that a detailed description of the exhibition will be available to visitors in both Arabic and English.
"Ezdan Mall seeks to provide all that is beneficial to the society such as knowledge," Malik Awan, GM of Ezdan Mall said.
"We organize different educational and learning exhibition along with a lot of leisure activities out of our conviction and belief in the necessity of diversity in what we offer."
The exhibition reflects the attention paid to the Arabic calligraphy and the Holy Quran as well as the main characteristics of the Arab-Islamic culture.
