Wild Khaleeji Free Running tournament comes to Qatar
Experience top 18 Arab Free-runners competing in Doha.
Qatar Living is proud to be working with The Youth Company, Vodafone, Aspire and the World Free Running & Parkour Federation (WFPF) to bring this tournament to Qatar.
"Wild Khaleeji" is first of its kind in the world that promotes free-running as an active and sport for all.
It will host 18 of the Middle East and North Africa’s top Parkour or Free Running artists, in a regional tournament at Aspire Park on 21 November 2015.
Wild Khaleeji – is a concept that was initiated earlier this year when Mohamed Al-Attar – a Kuwaiti parkour athlete who is ranked in the list of top 5 free-runners in the world – felt the need of encouraging parkour as a sport for Khaleejis (GCC Nationals).
The concept of Wild Khaleeji is to promote a sport that expands the player’s horizon to explore a world without obstacles.
Free-running is often defined as the fine-line between expression of emotions and art through sports that not only helps in focus, but also is a fun way to keep oneself active and healthy.
Finals of Wild Khaleeji are planned to be hosted at Aspire Park on 20th - 21st November 2015 with a set of obstacles covering a space of 1,600 square meters.
The first day of the event is for public to enjoy live rehearsals and acquire skills of the sport that are offered through workshops followed by the finals of tournament on 21st November 2015.
For fanatics of parkour, there will be freestyle battles at the Fanzone area and live performances to entertain the crowd.
Powered by Vodafone Qatar, a range of exciting offers from Vodafone Falla Package will be available for youth who are aspiring to be sports professionals.
The finals event on both days will start at 2PM and will end at 8PM with a mix of competitions, performances and artists showcases.
