Rules for War need changes
In old days, the warring armies used to gather in a big ground, away from the towns and cities confronted each other face to face, and then fought on till the end.
When the war was announced, the armies would fight under certain rules in those days, and while the armies continued to fight for days and months, the civilians were spared from the death and destruction of the war, because non would attack them.
But now a days, in spite of modern civilization, the war has reached to the homes and houses of civilians, youngs and women, all equally being targeted. Take the example of Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen and Syria etc. where thousands of women and children are loosing their lives without any reason.
Therefore there is a need to revamp the modern rules for war in order to cut down the danger on the lives of non fighting entities.
Now , Animals like horses & their babies are safe atleast ................ humans are in the good books of animals on this point atleast .................
brit, excellent elaboration, good contribution.
Wars have been there for centuries, and those shall be there in future as well. But someone like the UNO needs to write down the new rules of wars in this changing world of civilization.
Anyone who has enough power will make his own rules!
Tolstoy said - “If everyone fought for their own convictions there would be no war.”
War is now about disinformation to sway the public. War is now about drones and snipers and killing from afar.
Sadly, we have all become immune to the realities of war and the human destruction it brings. As someone who remembers the end of the Vietnam War , I find that we as humanity have gone backwards . Not forwards.
Equi, What if the two leaders don't fight at all ?
