CAREER SUMMARY

 

More than three decades ( 34 years) of Insurance experience in underwriting, claims, pre risk   survey, claims survey and client servicing, especially for Fire, General Accident and Engineering Department.

 

Setting up underwriting guidelines, drafting policies for various companies, Developing policy initiatives and obtaining stakeholders approval. Initiative level and problem solving approach.

 

CAREER PROGRESSION

 

FROM 15th  JULY 2003 TILL JULY 2014     :       QATAR TAKAFUL INSURANCE CO

DOHA –QATAR. Due to merging of our both Insurance once  again I am transferred to Head of Fire & Gen. Accdt. In our  Al Khaleej Takaful Group and it is continuing.

This company has been established by AL KHALEEJ INSURANCE COMPANY as a subsidiary company on June  2002. It is set up as a separate legal entity under a separate license. Our business operation has been started since 15th March 2003.

 

I have been promoted from the Head Office since 15th  July 2003 and  was working as an Underwriting Supervisor - Fire, Gen. Accdt. & Eng. Dept., on January, 2005 and  I have been again promoted as a Head of  Fire and General Accdt. Dept.

 

Responsible for overall underwriting and claims. Negotiating with various clients and obtaining very good business relationship. Supervision of office and Preparation of guidelines to other junior staff.

Worked as an Underwriting assistant of  Fire, General Accident and Engineering Department.

 

Responsible for servicing of major clients, whose activities include banking, manufacturing, investment, financing, vehicle dealers, traders, real estate, imports and construction.

 

MAJOR DUTIES WHICH IS  HANDLING  

 

Property All Risk / Fire &/or Lightning with an extension of Special Perils, Burglary, Consequential Loss (LOP/LOR/LOW) :-

Pre-risk survey, preparation of survey report and quotation to be submitted to the client according to the assessment of risks with superior’s guide line.  Thereafter policies are drafting as per my vast experience.

 

General Accident:- Assess the risk based on the completed proposal form, drafting quotation as per the satisfaction of the client / insured  and preparation of General Accident Insurance Policies, such as Workmen’s Compensation, Money Insurance, Fidelity Guaranties, Professional Indemnity, Plate Glass and Third Party Liability Policies are issuing.

 

Engineering:- CAR/EAR/TPL and Machinery All Risk / Equipment All Risk, Machinery Breakdown, (MBD) Machinery Breakdown + Deterioration of Stock (MBD+DOS). After scrutinizing full scope of works together with proposal form from the client / insured / principal, assessing the risks and applying the adequate rate, preparing quotation with full descriptions of  special condition /clauses /exclusion and submitting to the client.  Thereafter, preparation of Policies under the online computer.

 

The above business which are exceeding our treaty capacity, will be arranged Fac R/I support from various Re Insurers before commencing the risk.

 

Due to Increase of business in our Engineering protfolio, I am transferred the Head of Engineering Dept. Since 2006, and looking all Enginiring Classes alongwith it's Claims.

Al Nisr Insurance Co. is a Group of Arab Commercial Enterprises and Saudi Arabian Insurance Co (SAICO Riyadh) .

 

Joined with Al Nisr Insurance Company  as a direct recruit in January 1980 and started my carrier life as a typist cum  filing clerk. After 2 years training was posted in Motor Insurance  department, where I was handling Motor  and General Accident underwriting until end of 1992.

                                                                                               

In 1992 transferred to Marine  & Fire underwriting department, where I was handling the department in both underwriting and claims. Accordingly, I have been acquired total 16 years with Al Nisr Insurance Co. Muscat, as per copy of the certificate attached.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS : - Working Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet  and E-mail.

 

ASPIRATIONS

 

Confident in facing challenges. I took on the risk of leaving a secure nationalized sector career with a seething ambition to succeed in new Insurance market armed with the assurance acquired with experience at all levels in Muscat and followed by the present stint with leading insurer of the Doha-Qatar. Equipped with knowledge and the right communication skills confident of making good given the right opportunity.
