Chrysler 300C
Hello guys,
For the past months I have been searching for a car to buy...After doing some tests drives I have decided between these two cars:
Chrysler 300C 3.6 from 2012, what I like about this car is the exterior design, interior trim (it comes standard with 8 inch display, leather seats, and so on) also I really like the 8 speed transmission that works really nice with the engine and the Mercedes E-class chassis.
Nissan Maxima also from 2012, I like about this car the solid built quality but is disappointing when it comes to the transmission (cvt transmission I hate) also the interior features are not that great.
I need some advice regarding the maintenance cost of these cars. I know the Maxima is supposed to be cheap, but how cheap? How much is the regular service cost (oil, filters, etc)? What about the 300C? Anyone that own the new chrysler can share some of the normal running costs of this car?
Thank you ind advance
I used to get it serviced every 10,000 km. Minor service cost between 700-900 riyals. However, it is not as simple as that. i had lots of issues with electrocics and sensors. Perhaps I had a bad car. It's great to drive. is solid - but needs looking after.
Because I will never go for dealer maintenance, from my previous experience they are the worst. I prefer going to multibrand or local garages. You owned a 300, how much was the service for your car?
Why not contact the dealer and ask for the prices of minor / major services
Unfortunately I like the 300c to much, for me it is the perfect car with the pentastar v6 and 8speed auto. I drove also the maxima and it is a very big difference between the cars, the 300 wins by far.
Anyome knows the average price of regular sercice for. the car? (I owned a bmw x5 and I was. paying 1600 for oil and filters, I hope it is less than that)
You shouldn't compare a new 300C to a 2012 model. Cost of mtce will be different especially depending on the condition of the used car. Not sure if the selling prices you are getting are similar - In the long run Japanese cars are usually more reliable and cheaper to maintain than Euro and American. If you are more interested in looks and status and willing to pay for that premium then the 300C is your choice.
The new model of 300C has a very nice interior, I really like it. The maxima is also nice but a really bit outdated.I still have a week or two to set my mind on a car...
Tnx for the advice
Go for Maxima, 2x cheaper in every way. Chrysler all plastic.
Had a Chrysler 300c. Great car to drive. Very dated interior. Expensive parts. Things go wrong too often. Crap resale value
Depends, I suggest you call dealers and get prices for brakes, timing belts & oil change etc.
