Now that Eid-Al-Adha is just around the corner, the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) has been abuzz with all sorts of amazing preparations.

Aiming to transform Qatar into a family tourist destination this Eid, the QTA has organized the following events –

#- Entertainment shows are back!! And this time with a bang!! The traditional Ardha dance, acts by “Snooby” – the finalist from the famous show Arab’s Got Talent and a mini-stage show called "Mr.Dropsy and the Bell-Boy" are all a part of the agenda!

These shows will rotate among the popular malls in Qatar starting from the first day of Eid and will go on till the fifth day. Just be there at 4 PM and you could have a wonderful time until 10 PM!

#- Your kids’ favourites will also be there in some exclusive shows like, Aladdin (City Center, Doha), Bob the Builder (Dar Al Salam Mall), Dora the Explorer (Ezdan Mall), Cinderella (Lagoona Mall), Play ‘Doh (Hyatt Plaza) and Kids Circus (Al Khor Mall).

#- Another event to look forward to this Eid will be, the “Frozen sing along” where Princesses Elsa and Anna along with the snowman Olaf will pitch in well-known tunes from the movie along with the audience! It’s karaoke time, everyone!!!

#- In a mood to watch a play this Eid? Well, be ready for a play about the world of wrestling by Teyseer Abdullah where actors Nasser Mohammed and Najwa Al Kubaisi will lead a group of young actors including the child musical super star Hala Al Turk. The play will be performed at the Qatar National Theatre.

#- Do you know what the theme of this Eid is? It’s “Capture Joy”!! QTA will also launch a very creative campaign inviting everyone to share their happy Eid moments with images and words on various online portals!!

#- Every hotspot in Qatar will be alive with Eid festivities including Souq Wakif (where live music concerts will be held), Katara, Aspire Park, The Pearl Qatar, Al Dosari Zoo and Game Reserve, and the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Museum.

Also, QTA along with its partners at Hamad International Airport will set the “Eid vibe” on visitors through the “Eidhiya” gifts and information pamphlets that will surely guide them towards all the Eid activities in the country.

Excited? So are we!! What event would you like to go for?

Krashid: you have to get out and enjoy yourself . Go to Rizks' Emporium with a few friends . Enjoy the cuisine whilst having your tyres checked.

Go to the Ramada Car Park of an evening and learn Chinese.

Go to the Corniche after 11:00 pm and see Sulieman doing donuts in his Nissan Tiida

I'm surprised no traditional entertainment. So much emphasis on western style entertainment for Eid in Qatar.
