Need a foster or pet sitting for a kitten from this month till september. The person who is supposed to take him won't be able to do so till september . . Prepared to pay . Might need to put him down if no foster available in tw0-three days. He is the most gentle and loving kitten . He is also blind in one eye and won't survive if put outside . Kindly consider .
I am not going to put him down. I was extremely frustrated when i wrote the post originally. There is a back story. This cat came to me when it was few weeks old , motherless and accompanied by two siblings. He had a very harsh eye injury due to which he stayed at the clinic for a while for treatment (his retina exploded because something hooked into his eye) . The first idea was to let the kitties stay in the streets and to feed them . But the other two kitties were run over by a car. Now, i can only feed them at the place i stay , where else would i keep them ? . The place i stay is not safe due to which the two kittens i left were killed. Now this one remains - he is still too small to survive in the heat and conditions outside . I didnt want to see him die like the others , which is why i was considering putting him down . Thats not an option anymore, though.
If you are getting frustrated of not being able to find a private foster home for your cat -- after putting in your best efforts -- then SET HIM FREE! My former neighbor had a beautiful pure breed cat but didn't take good care of her, so their furry pet stowed away. She (the neglected pet) has been living off the streets as a "stray animal" together with other similar cats for almost a year now. And guess what! She looks untidy, but she is healthier since running away from her uncaring owners. By their innate natural instincts, cats (and even mere kittens) generally move on with their lives regardless of the environmental conditions they face day by day. Prior to developing wild, they were domesticated and they eventually learn to adapt to the harsh homeless conditions. Thus, fasilasaid, I just hope that whatever you decide to be your kitty's fate, please try all and any means -- except putting him down. Your cat will survive in the "urban jungle" at the end of the day...and every day thereafter!
QAWS is still active and ive long before put posts to find someone to foster him . but to no avail. there are too many cats and kittens needing foster in qatar right now. he is in boarding as of now.. i need to keep somewhere for one more month .. already spent too much on boarding . thank you for all the suggestions.
Yes, QAWS is very much active. In fact, one of their services is boarding of pets for a minimal fee while the owner(s) is on vacation.
Why not pay to put him in a suitable kennel/cattery? Most vet offices can assist in directing you to reputable places. If you can afford to go on vacation, then you should be able to afford the boarding fees.
Is QAWS still active ?
Indeed, mallethead! And if I may add, the world is mourning the SENSELESS AVOIDABLE KILLING of Cecil the lino in Zinbabwe, so let's not add more to it.
Fasilasaid, here's the link to the official QAWS webpage where their contact information can be found: http://www.qaws.org/contact/contact.php
Please do not put the kitten down. They deserve to live just like we do. Please take the advice of Habagat2012 and contact QAWS.
Don't put him down. Contact QAWS (Qatar Animal Welfare Society). You can get the information in the Internet (Google it!) and the QAWS Facebook page. Be merciful on this poor animal.
Dear friend ,
I wont be able to look after your kitten as I am alone. But there is a person who feeds kitten every day near darsalam mall at about 7 pm . so so many cats flourish there. if you wish you can discuss with him for advice.
