Eid Rush: HIA ask passengers to arrive three hours before departure
Hamad International Airport (HIA) has advised passengers travelling during Eid Al Fitr holidays to arrive early to avoid any delays.
The airport is expecting a peak in departing passenger traffic from today until Monday and arriving passenger traffic from July 23 until 25.
To ensure passengers have seamless and comfortable travel experiences through the airport, HIA advises locally departing passengers to arrive three hours before flight departure time and that check-in counters will close 60 minutes prior to departure.
To save time, Qatar Airways and many other airlines operating from HIA offer passengers online check-in.
The general public dropping off or receiving passengers are advised to use the short-term car park which provides complimentary parking for the first 30 minutes and costs QR5 per hour thereafter.
Passengers also have the option of parking vehicles at the airport's long-term car park for QAR45 per day. It provides 2,540 spaces and a regular shuttle service to the main terminal every 15-20 minutes.
More information about HIA's parking facilities can be found on its website.
