Go to Taxi operator service, Do u have any clues of Driver if not still you can trace him as i had done.

Check for Bill, Exact bill Amount, Nationality, Car model, Exact time for traveling, Pick up and drop area (Place).

If you have any of this details got to taxi operator customer service center they will let you know he was the person.

Sorry for your loss.

I was sleepy and tired when i was on my way back to office and i forget my iPhone in taxi.

The taxi driver took my iPhone and on requesting him so many times he gave it back to me.

if you are sure u dropped your phone, Try to talk to him privately and offer him some amount of money.

Verma, Ask your boss to share the loss by 50 % , it happened on your way back from your office , tell him not to put much pressure when it is leaving time for you ..............................

& find my iphone is very accurate in locating the device..

Formatting password protected iphone is very easy ..

Any one can do it.

But still you try locating through icloud find my iphone, if you enabled it on your device.

You may get lucky in next few months if someone starts using it.

Sorry to hear that, I think you will never get it back, and with today's hackers skills he can take it to a mobile shop that can help him re-install the software, you can still report it apple by providing your serial number, they will deactivate the device, it will no longer work even if you got it back, or maybe help you locating it.

Why don't u use locate iPhone option. He can't do any thing with out your Apple ID details...if he resets phone it will ask for ur Apple id password...or u can login to ur iCloud and lock the phone with a welcome message to contact you?

Sorry to hear that..There is app "find my iPhone" if you've installed in in your phone you can track in any ipad or iPhone but this works only if your lost phone is connected in the net, but as you said it's off. Anyhow I hear you can report it on police and will ask your phone IMEI and etc but not so sure about it. Try to ask in police station, good luck!

Btw you may be able to trace via find my iphone, log on to icloud.com
