In an effort to make Qatar's roads safer, we have joined campaign on "Don't Text & Drive" to stop distracted driving.
Al Khebra Driving Academy has pledged its support to help spread the message that distracted drivers are not only a danger to themselves but everyone else on the road as per interview with the General Manager, Mr. Omar Kaballo.
"We know that talking on our cell phones while driving is distracting but that doesn't stop most people from continuing to do it. Al Khebra has lounge campaign in social media and collaboration with few organizations intended to educate community about the dangers of cell phone use and other distractions while driving.
The Qatar statistics shows the danger involve, they will change their driving habits to help protect themselves, their families and others on the road.
While anything that takes your eyes off the road, hands off the wheel, or mind off the task of driving is hazard, there is heightened concern about the risks of texting while driving because it combines all three types of distraction – visual, manual and cognitive.
We would like to help drivers understand that texting, cell phone use, and other distractions behind the wheel can have dangerous consequences.
Al Khebra Driving Academy joined hands with the Authority on campaign of Safety Driving for the public awareness.
Our goal with this campaign is simple – save lives by getting drivers to remember that "One Text or Call Could Wreck it all" and together, we can make a difference!
