Day to Day Responsibilities

 

• Providing user support for Desktop and Laptop issues
• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications;
• Interacting with users, either face to face or over the telephone to help them to resolve the issues
• Troubleshooting and solving system and network incidents for hardware or software faults
• Replacing faulty parts and setting hardware configuration parameters
• Preparing procedural documentation and incident reports
• Following diagnostic flow diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications;
• Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues
• Responding to incidents within agreed time limit
• Prioritize and manage to resolve  incidents within user expectation
• Testing and evaluating new technology
• Supporting System evaluation test  by testing compatibility of new programs with existing programs as per developer’s instructions
• Maintaining system capability by testing computer components.
• Preparing reference sheet for users by writing operating instructions.

• Improving professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
